RAPID Meetings
What is the RAPID meeting?
A RAPID meeting is part of our standard meeting pulse. In 20-30 minutes, everyone involved in current work in progress is aligned, and all aspects of the work are understood by everyone involved.
When do we have them?
Depending on your level of activity, RAPID meetings are held either weekly, every 2 weeks, or monthly.
I know what you are thinking: great, another meeting? Trust me, RAPID meetings are crisp, informative, and realign everyone involved.
Who should attend?
Anyone involved in the work in progress should attend. Anyone who needs the info is welcome to attend. Typically the entire Data Crew attends from Datateer.
What is the format?
RAPID is a modification of the classic RAID meetings in project management.
R is for Risks. A risk is any specific event which might occur and, if it does, would have a negative impact
A is for Assumptions, which is something we set as true to enable us to proceed.
P is for Priorities, where we check work that was recently completed, work currently in progress, and the next few upcoming items
I is for Issues. An issue is anything that arises that, if we do not take action, will result in delays or other problems
D is for dependencies. A dependency exists when an output from one piece of the work is needed as mandatory input for another part of the work
What is the outcome of a RAPID meeting?
Everyone is clear on the current state of the work and the priorities.
The RAPID Log
The RAPID Log is a working document that is updated during the meeting. It is a tangible reminder anyone can refer to later.
See the attachment for a template that we use for this log
